And we’re LIVE!

Last week, the Joint Emergency Service Communications Centre (JESCC) enabled Advanced Mobile Location (AML) in the Intergraph Computer Aided Dispatch (ICAD) system.

AML is a technology that allows smart mobile phones to send precise GPS location coordinates when making an emergency call to Triple Zero.

Superintendent Drew Slape said, “More than 70% of emergency calls to the JESCC are made from a mobile device. In Emergency situations AML data will greatly assist Emergency Call Takers in being able to obtain a callers location to send Police, Fire or Ambulance.”

AML is available on devices running Android Ice Cream 4.1 and above and Apple iOS 14.3 and above.
