Historic train on the move this Sunday | Katherine Times

Katherine’s historic locomotive is set to move away from Ryan Park this Sunday. The train, built in 1892, was given a fresh coat of paint today, ahead of plans to move it to the old train station on Railway Terrace. A Katherine National Trust spokeswoman said the move has been a long time coming, with the first plans being put forward five years ago. She said once the train is moved to Railway Terrace, it will be part of a broader redevelopment aimed at bringing tourists and families to the historic locomotive.
