Twenty-two doctors in the NT are celebrating gaining their GP fellowships after completing a national GP training program run locally by Northern Territory General Practice Education. This year’s batch of newly-qualified doctors have all finished their Australian General Practice Training Program training at locations across the Territory, including Katherine. The Federal Government-funded AGPT Program trains doctors to become GPs, providing full-time, on the-job training for Australian and overseas-trained doctors who want to specialise in general practice.
