This morning, Acting Chief Fire Officer Stephen Sewell attended the AFAC National Memorial Service in Canberra, to represent NT Fire and Rescue Service and to support the families of Senior Station Officer Ryan Clay AFSM and retired Officer Thomas ‘Tommy’ Lawler, who sadly passed away in 2018.

As part of the service, family members were presented with an AFAC Memorial Medallion in their honour.

Both Ryan and Tommy are remembered for their dedication and commitment as firefighters and selfless dedication to ensuring others are safe.

The names of twelve people from the NSW Rural Fire Service, Fire and Rescue NSW, Forestry SA, NSW Volunteer Rescue Association and the NTFRS have been added to the National Emergency Services Memorial…
