Victim of remote electrocution was a young boy | Katherine Times

The victim of the electrocution in a remote NT community has been identified as an 11-year-old boy. The remote location was the West Arnhem community of Gunbalanya, Back on October 30, police issued a statement saying they had investigated the circumstances of the death of an 11-year-old child. “A file will be prepared for the Coroner,” police said. It was revealed yesterday, the boy was likely electrocuted after climbing onto a house roof. Investigators believe a damaged power line may have “energised” the entire roof leading to the tragic death of the Gunbalanya boy.
